The Museum of Military History is a historical museum with a focus on military history that is currently undergoing a phase of content revision and organisational restructuring. Not only the exhibition halls themselves, but also all other areas open to the public are being revised and the team led by Director Georg Hoffmann will welcome you in 2025 when the collection area from 1938 - 1955 is reorganised. Until then, we are working hard to make the Museum of Military History an inclusive place for the discussion of history, with people at the centre of its focus, where contemporary references are made and current social discourses are included in its presentations. The central focus will be on the formation of democracy, the connection between war, conflict and societies and the role of the military in these societies across historical epochs and ruptures.
